Have you ever had a child ask a question that seemed 'out of the blue?' As in, where did this come from? My nephew asked me about getting older as we were sitting on a fence watching his Grandfather in the yard playing with the other Grand Children. I was immediately impressed by his question at such a young age, as he was only four. Having many wonderful niece's and nephew's I began to think of the thoughts that went through their heads from day to day. I began to visualize the different subjects that would be important to have printed for parents to take them on a journey of truth without giving out false information. Children will sense the deception and so using humor and music you can present sensitive life facts to them without a fear of damaging their youthful imaginings. This is how the 'Children's Question Book Series' was born. These pictorial books will answer questions about life such as, nature, fun, success, failure and yes, getting older then finally death. As always, witty prose, fun, and education will be at the heart of these works. 'The Older' is a wonderful poem story that teaches children about growing old. Harry has this unique way of communicating with the youth of today. His words along with the vibrant animated images will make your child want to read it again and again. As you and your child go through the book together, you will be able to discuss the subject of death. Once a taboo subject for kids, this book will make the perfect bridge to answer all those questions that children have when a love one passes away. The pictures are colorful and happy and so the approach is positive and happy and the humor is well done. Children can say the darndest things and those types of questions are addressed in a professional way but with tenderness. The people in the book are derived from Harry's own family and his favorite nephew.
