Molecular Systematics and Secondary Metabolites

This text documents, through case studies, the many scenarios in which data obtained from analysis of secondary metabolites and data obtained through molecular technology support each other and have influenced modern theories of plant phylogeny. It aims to fill the needs of scientists carrying out molecular work who require secondary metabolite analyses as support for their molecular analyses. The book provides a model as to how such work may be carried out in the future, and also provides a methodological and philosophical bridge between micro- and macromolecular systematics.
