In a span of a few days Miguel Moire is forced to confront his alcoholism , day to day demands of being a sailor , as well as arising personal issues. Moire's self awareness is impeccable as he reflects on social trends and his own persona. however if he doesn't act soon his heightened perception may not do much more than give him a front row seat to his own self destruction.
