After generations of interracial mixing the FUTURE is in jeopardy of becoming one race with no differences in characteristics or appearance. However, there are a handful of people in the world who are carriers of rare gene mutations that the government seeks to study. Ryder along with her friends Zuri and Cadence are struggling with their own sense of identity and flock to each other as they form a tight bond. Ryder finds love in Silas, a man who respects her need for self-identity and helps her understand what she's been longing for her whole life... acceptance. Just when she's coming into her own, their worlds are catapulted into deception and uncertainty as they fight to uncover a government conspiracy that can potentially save mankind as we know it.
