So many people have done wonderful things and then drifted into obscurity. Some were involved in sports and some were military. Some were philanthropists and many were just regular people who "rose to the occasion." This book is filled with short stories of some amazing and inspiring peole who should never be forgotten. Whether from our distant past or from today's space program, they still hold the power to fill us with awe and make us say, "Wow Who knew?" Like all humans, they had flaws, but these people were also blessed with greatness and with the ability to make us proud to be Missourians.
