Mission

The Peace Keeping Forces Wolf Class Star Destroyer Concord is a ship of war, not a convention center, much less a love boat. Much to the dismay of Commodore Robert Rand and his command staff, including Jeremy Branfield, his first officer, Concord is detailed by the Admiralty to play host to nine contingents of young ladies of different species participating in the Les Mesdemoiselles d'Confederation Beauty Pageant. Worse, they learn it's all a plot by high-ranking Churchmen to shatter the Confederation by proving these very different peoples can't learn to work together. Jeremy finds he must work very closely indeed with Rrrlana'vaha'sssaleath, great granddaughter of Vaha and Sss'Aleath themselves, forebears of the Snowmanes, as well as his own great parents. Not only must they dance the Ballad of Sssled'n and Rrrlana to educate everyone about the true history of the Holy Church Universal and Renewed, they must also dance the Great Songs of many of the other peoples participating in the pageant so they may all begin to see how much they have in common. Can they succeed against all odds to turn the tables on the evil Churchmen and make of this most unusual mission a rousing success?
