Mischief Maker: Naiche and the Chiricahuas

Naiche's Apache name meant "Mischief Maker." He was the second son of the magnificent chieftain Cochise and became the last heriditary chief of the Chokonen Chiricahuas. Naiche was born into a world of war as Apaches raided and killed to prevent the extinction of their race. It was much more than mischief, it was full-fledged war for survival. Naiche and Geronimo rode together as the last surviving free Apaches before suffering twenty-seven years as prisoners of war. This is his story.
