I tried to touch her, & she put her arms out to shield herself as if I was dangerous.
Speaking softly, she listened. Inexplicably sizing me from head to toe.

Depending on her intuition and listening to her body as the writer submerges into the pool of depression with barely holding on, she decided that "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH."
