Beskrivelse
Although human beauty is a big societal issue, it is no central issue of contemporary aesthetics. To (re-)kindle philosophical interest in the topic of human beauty, this book discusses the question whether beauty is only skin-deep or whether it comes from within. Inspired by Kant's, Schiller's and Burke's views on human beauty, it develops a characterological theory according to which human beauty is physical-expressive amiability.
