When the Wild Hunt gathers, nothing can stand in its way...
"The interweaving of mythical figures gives the story depth and excitement. I raced through this book with huge enjoyment. The more I read the more wrapped up I became in Liam's evolution and emotional development. The countryside in the area was like a character itself, I really want to see it in person now. This is a very distinctive work, very well written, with some surprising twists and turns. I'm hoping there's a sequel. I would read anything by this author."
Liam is a troubled teenager who just can't learn to read, no matter how much he tries. He wants to be an artist, but his father thinks he should get a proper job and dabble with his hobby later. After an episode in London involving the police, he is banished to a remote village in Somerset. There, he and his blind cousin June discover a gateway to the ancient past, and together have to try to close the gap in time, which is allowing a wild magic into the world.
Offered the chance of immortality, Liam has to find the strength to refuse - but does he want to?
Modern lives clash again old magic in a story filled with action and and olde world heroic charm. This novel will engage children, young adults, and adults who are young at heart.
"I was surprised how much I liked and related to this book. I'm female and not a young adult nor a motorcycle rider but for some reason I raced through this book with huge enjoyment. The main character Liam is quite interesting and his personality gruff but somehow likeable--the more I read the more wrapped up I became in his evolution and emotional development. When he and his cousin June get together and discover they are more than they had ever dreamt of being, I couldn't wait to see how it was all going to work out."
