Traumatised by horrific experiences in Vietnam,Michael Johnston is repatriated to Australia andplaced in a psychiatric ward. Eventually dischargedinto an uncaring world, the disenchanted soldierdescends into acute depression.To escape city pressures, Michael finds work on acattle property.
