Beskrivelse
Men and Women of Valor in the Blue Ridge by N.W. Boyer is a book about veterans with connections to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Some are elderly after long service during World War II. Their stories need to be told because hundreds are passing away daily around the U.S.A. Others are veterans of the Koreans and Vietnam wars with stories of courage and perseverance. Included in this book are also men who serve as Honor Guards at the funerals of all military men and women. The author and her husband, who is a retired Navy Chaplain, spent hours of interview to preserve the stories of these brave men and women who went when their country called to preserve freedom around the world.
