This volume presents a critical edition of three melodramas (La Citerne, Marguerite d'Anjou, and Les Ruines de Babylone) along with their original incidental music. The critical material supplementing the text provides a backstage look at the production of Pixerecourtian melodramas in the very constrictive political context of 1809-1810.
