Beskrivelse

Earth is a distant memory. Humans have spread to numerous colonies throughout the galaxy. Graeson Pierce is the adopted son of the tyrannical dictator Prime Minister Antonia Vetrova. He is sent on a mission to cleanse their territory of Children of Gaia sympathizers. During their mission he, Ashe Leon, and an artificial being named Sicarii are liberated by Agent Xandra Hale of the Children of Gaia. The Children of Gaia are a benevolent, altruistic group of humans of the planet Anemoi. They embrace art, democracy, and peace. Xandra Hale, a Sovereignty born agent for the Children of Gaia shows Graeson, Ashe, and Sicarii that Vetrova's perpetual war is nothing but a fallacy designed to control the conscripted populous. Vetrova sends her most trusted operative, Ehren Meinhardt to return Graeson, the future Prime Minister, at all costs. He is entrusted with the Sovereignty's only ship capable of reaching Anemoi, the VR-402, which has the capability of rendering a planet uninhabitable. Graeson must save the Sovereignty from Vetrova's rule and save Anemoi from Meinhardt's radicalism, in J. L. Young's Science Fiction novel Measured Land.
