Beskrivelse
As the Urdu language has progressed and countless words and expressions are no longer used in modern Urdu Ghazal, the diction of poets has entirely transformed to adapt the change. Hence, writing in classical style is a thing of a past and not embraced by the Urdu poetry lovers in this age and time. However, Anwar Shaoor has negated this phenomenon and created his own unique path, which connects his poetry to the classical roots, yet feels original and fresh to the minds and hearts. Shaoor's Ghazal is the perfect example of "sehle mumtena." While crafty with words and expressions, Shaoor narrates a true picture of his own experiences. Andokhta, Mashq-e- Sukhan, Mi Raqsam and Dil Ka Kya Rung Karon have been published and widely accepted by poetry lovers.
