Martha's Homecoming

Ever since her parents were killed in a bus accident, Martha Bender has lived with her Amish grandmother. But when her grandmother becomes sick, Martha is sent to live with her Englisch aunt in Indianapolis. Martha doesn't fit in at school, and she misses her friends back home-especially Amos, the boy she's always loved.Amos Smucker enjoys working in his family's furniture shop. After Martha leaves, he agrees to help her grandmother take care of the Bender farm. A year passes, and he's surprised at how much he misses Martha.When Martha returns to visit, it appears she has embraced the outside world.
