This is generally noticed that the studies pay no or very little attention to the administrative and organizational issues involved in district planning This book fulfils that gap. It attempts to make a critical review of the state of decentralized district planning in India with major focus on the administrative arrangements. It studies the appropriateness and effectiveness of organizational infrastructure available at the district for district planning in the light of recommendations of various committees and commissions.
