Beskrivelse
Translation has always interested many philosophers, linguists and literary scholars. This manual, being the synthesis of several readings and based on different classifications, including that of Mathieu GUIDERE, attempts to give a historical-translational overview of translation. This manual is divided into two chapters. The first is devoted to the history of translation as an age-old activity and to the history of translational thinking, often attributed to the American Eugene A. Nida but which, in fact, goes back at least to ancient Greece. The second part of the book is dedicated to different approaches and theories of translation that have marked the 20th century and continue to mark the current century.
