Beskrivelse
Work stress is a common phenomenon experienced by employees in various industries and organizations. It is characterized by excessive pressure, demands, and expectations placed on individuals within their work environment. Work stress can arise from various factors, including heavy workloads, tight deadlines, inadequate resources, lack of control, organizational politics, and interpersonal conflicts. When employees face prolonged or chronic stress, it can significantly affect their overall well-being, mental health, and job satisfaction, leading to low productivity, customer churn, and high attrition rate. However, stress can be a positive factor when it increases job satisfaction and motivates individuals to achieve both personal targets and organizational goals. Effective Stress Management Strategies: Actionable Insights for Workforce Engagement and Productivity in Organizations is a well-researched and comprehensive resource for business managers and executives, as well as students, tutors, and all seekers of knowledge. This book explores productivity in relation to stress, shedding light on the impact it has on employees and what organizations can do. The Demand-Control-Support (DCS) model and Theory of Employee Performance were applied in this study to improve understanding of stress, types/causes of stress, workplace stress, stress management, and employee job performance.
