Beskrivelse
The management case presented here brings the analysis of the management practices adopted in the scope of a State School of Professional Education, which has, along the years, presented expressive results in external evaluations. Initially, the origins of professional education in Brazil and Ceará are revisited. Then, the school and its main results are presented in external evaluations, until the receipt of the Management Award, in the highlighted category, in 2017. From this point on, the factors that can be considered to determine the effectiveness of a school are addressed, such as: the system of selection of students and the full-time regime and the hiring of teachers from the common base in a 40-hour regime. The methodological course of the research and the analysis of the questionnaires, illuminated by Libâneo (2008), Lück (2009), Paro (2006), Polon (2011), Souza (2009) and Vicente (2004), are outlined below. Finally, we have systematized the management practices adopted by the school with the presentation of an Educational Action Plan, so that the reflections dealt with in this study can serve as a contribution for other professionals or researchers who are interested in this theme.
