Malik Loses His Friend

Have you ever lost a friend? Well, Malik Boros did. The young Malian lost his best friend, Kieta Toures, when her family experienced a series of misfortunes. Sicknesses had visited their lodging and decided to stay; it initially attacked her mother. Then her father got sick. The malady finally took her mother and robbed Kieta of her influence and love. Consequently, the patriarch of the Toures family made a decision that would prove to be devastating to the lad, one that he would respond to in unexpected ways.
