Mail Order Bride - How Sweet the Sound

Cleve and Mary are just 7 years old and living at a Pittsburgh orphanage, when they say "I do" to each other, at a make-believe wedding. Not only do they say it, they mean it -and what's more, believe themselves married in the eyes of the Lord. A year later, both are left heartbroken - Cleve is torn from Mary's arms and taken away, adopted by a family from Montana. Ten long years pass, and Cleve is too afraid even to love, his losses having hardened his heart. But Mary too has her problems - her arm has been crushed in a mangler, and she's been cast out into the street, almost penniless, to fend for herself. When Mary is shown a letter from a man who seeks a mail order bride, and sees that the man's name is Cleve, she knows it's a sign from the Lord - and that whether it's her Cleve or not, she knows she must go to the man.
