Magnetic field of the Earth

At present Mass Media speak a lot about the global warming and the forthcoming global cooling on the Earth, they provide information about earthquakes, tsunami and volcano eruptions, as well as information about the fact that the magnetic pole of the Earth has started drifting and the inversion of the magnetic field of the Earth is coming. There have been offered different explanations of these global phenomena, but there is no answer to the question about the physical processes taking place in the core of the Earth and about the effect they produce on people¿s life on the Earth.
