When America is attacked in a whirlwind barrage of Islamic terrorist events, the United States is nearly brought to its knees. Snipers are killing people throughout the country, surface-to-air-missile attacks are sending planes to a fiery doom, cyber-attacks on America's financial systems are crippling her economy, assassins are seeking out those in power, and that is only the beginning. When Kevin O'Brien, a young and determined FBI agent is given the lead in forming, Task Force-Maelstrom, he and his team come under attack from a mysterious, Illuminati-type group of super-rich and powerful men bent on creating nothing short of a national paradigm change. As Kevin and his team attempt to find these powerful conspirators they are assisted by a mysterious "friend" who knows more than anyone can imagine. Now, as the country reels from prior disasters and lives in fear of those yet to come, Kevin and his new wife, Lisa, are sent headlong into a frightening adventure that could lead to the renewal of America, or its utter destruction.
