Mackenzie is wondering where the tiny voice and giggles are coming from? There is no one in her neon pink room. A loud ticking noise is coming from Grandad Eddie's watch. She hasn't heard the ticking of that watch since he left it to her. As she moves closer to the watch... the ticking gets louder. She slowly picks up the watch and looks into the face. A small figure waves at her and Mackenzie slowly waves back. Then POOF!! Mackenzie is inside the watch. Princess Peree Sheree extends her hand and welcomes her to Pleasantree....

A wonderful, majestic glimpse of how powerful a child's imagination can be. The story capitulates reality and enters a world of fantasy and beauty. This reading is fascinating for any child trying to escape a complicated world of pain, grief and loss. Only to realize all is not gone that those we love are always with us through their energy, spirit and even within a simple tangible item such as a watch. As the fairytale begins Mackenzie is searching for connections with family and new friends. Although Mackenzie seemed to abjure what she was hearing from the wee little voices her curiosity soon led her to explore a whole new world! The figurative language of the reading incorporates unifying love while fostering humor and enchantment. Dr. Paula J. Rodgers, Ed.D
