Luna Program

Period: Cold War. Protagonists: Soviets vs Americans. Objective: the technological, spatial and military supremacy, but above all to excel and collect successes and records before, during and after the historic lunar landing, which has just finished celebrating its fiftieth anniversary in a triumphant way. This event leaves three key words to the history and memory of all of us: Armstrong, Apollo, United States ... but perhaps not everyone knows, or better remember, that the first artificial satellite, the "Sputnik-1", was launched by the Soviets, as well as the first living being, the dog Laika, the first man, Jurij Gagarin and the first woman, Valentina Tereskova, the first photo sent to the ground of the dark side of the Moon, the first extra vehicular activity, the first probe on Venus and so on are all achievements, the result of intelligence and perseverance of the Soviet scientists ... In this compelling work, all the successes and failures of the Soviet "Space Program" are narrated, from the pioneering theories of Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, until the future missions of a new moon landing and colonization, giving particular emphasis to the largest selenite exploration program, better known as the "LUNA Program" (in Russian: Программа Луна), waiting to see what nationality the next flag will be planted for the first time on Martian soil.
