Lucky but not in love

Neeraj and Ayesha, two high school best friends were just like a perfect example for any friendship that could exist in this world. It was just like they just couldn't live without each other. They were living their life together to the best and fullest, and there were no problems ongoing in their life until an unexpected incident took place.

Neeraj, a boy with a pure heart had developed feelings for Ayesha and he just simply couldn't resist himself to control to confess them anymore. A school gathering was taking place in their school and that was just like a perfect opportunity for Neeraj to confess his love for Ayesha and propose her. He tries his best and at last with a lot of effort proposes Ayesha from the bottom of his heart in front of the whole school in the annual gathering.

But, to his surprise, Ayesha doesn't like that, and out of feelings of embarrassment and resentment in front of the whole school, she rejects his proposal on stage within a glimpse of a moment. It was not only that she rejects him but also stops meeting him and talking to him from that day further on(after their last day at school) . She stops acting like his best friend anymore and doesn't care about him anymore... Neeraj gets frustrated with it, and slowly and slowly with time develops a serious mental disorder known as "Major Depressive Disorder" after going through a depressive state for months without any treatment. His psychiatrist prescribes him some medicines but they were unable to heal the wounds of his broken heart and unrequited love at any cost.. They were meaning useless to him and slowly he was becoming a drunken alcoholic who consumed alcohol and cigarettes on a daily basis to search for a way to escape from this pain...

Years passed by like this, and he continued to exist on with his depressed life but couldn't possibly find a way to move on with it. He couldn't forget Ayesha and had not seen a glimpse of her since years. One day, as the days passed by, Neeraj and Ayesha coincidentally came face to face with each other and it was just hard for Neeraj to resist to control his tears anymore.. He looked in her eyes and teardrops of pain leaked down his cheeks.

Will Ayesha accept him as he is right now? Will Ayesha love him the way she did years ago?? Will Ayesha accept him as her partner and help him cope up with his mental health? Or will she again leave him alone in the shadow of death to die..
