The night after Lucie Brandon's grandmothers ask for her help in locating some lost family heirlooms, she is suddenly transported back in time to Colonial Virginia. Sent a dream by one of her ancestors, Lucie experiences a day in the life of Betsy Barker of Williamsburg, and then she embarks on a quest fueled by the clues that first Betsy and then three other ancestors provide to her through dreams.
