A lot of times, if we stop to properly calculate what we receive and honestly discern (to properly distinguish or recognize) a person or situation, we could prevent ourselves from being a part of many "mishaps." Self-Control tames our flesh. And in our flesh lies, the lies, the lust, the need to have more, selfishness amongst much more and these factors can ruin any foundation. Self-Control can prevent bad spending and eating habits, stealing, lying and of course infidelity.
