Love should not hurt

First time abroad after earning a prestigious college degree, Ann wants to experience the world and flummoxes her family accepting a waitress job on a cruise ship sailing the sunny, exotic Caribbean. Not only that she has to travel to Miami to board the ship, practically on the other side of the earth from her native, former communist country, Romania, but the geographical gap gets deeper once she gets to meet and share a tiny living space for the next ten months with 1000 crew members from 77 different countries.Homesick and culture shocked, Ann has real trouble adjusting among them, but soon makes friends and finds love as she catches the eye of Marco, the ship's charming, Italian first deck officer. At first, Ann is skeptical and defensive, quite aware of the well-deserved reputations that ship's officers carry as playboys and seducers, who have their way not only with guests, but have their pick of the crew as well. However, who could resist such a temptation, in the middle of nowhere, where everybody feels alone and stranded for month and years like in a floating deluxe prison? But then, the heat is turned up a notch even further as an explosion on-board literally rips Ann from Marco's arms Will their romance survive?
