Love for the Future: Building One World of Freedom and Democracy Under God's Truth is a compilation of international lectures given by Ryuho Okawa during his global missionary tours (2007 to present). Despite a modern age of struggle and conflicting values, this thought provoking text upholds that freedom and democracy are indispensable tenants to unify the global community and cultivate a peaceful and prosperous future. The mending seam is a sincere belief in God's love for everyone, and that we all possess divine nature within. Chapter 1 of Part 1 introduces Okawa's lecture and Q&A session in Germany, held in 2018. The time is now to liberate all remorseful memories of 20th-century totalitarianism, mired by the acts of the German Reich, and to stifle the present-day totalitarian-communist superpower from mercilessly violating human rights and advancing hegemonism throughout the world. To address international conflicts, Okawa frames what God seeks us to accomplish in the 21st century from a historical and political position, followed by a macro-view from a religious perspective. Chapter 2 is based on Okawa's Hong Kong lecture and Q&A session. This lecture from 2011 became a historical milestone in which Okawa encouraged the 1.4 billion people of China to strive for freedom-based prosperity and for the people of Hong Kong to champion this initiative. The ideas conveyed by Okawa became the foundation of the Hong Kong democratization movement, known as the Umbrella Revolution, which took root several years later. Chapter 3 is from Okawa's December 2018 lecture in Japan, in which he specifically addressed the people of Thailand - a country entrenched by traditional Buddhist teachings. Okawa framed that sound Buddhist philosophy encompasses the notion of soul, and that human beings possess divine nature within. This concept, coupled with Western ideas on freedom, leadership, and democracy is the answer to bridge Eastern and Western ideas. Chapter 4 is a transcription of Okawa's lecture and Q&A session held in Taiwan in March 2019. Okawa dilates three signs of a totalitarian country and teaches the importance of spreading the principles of freedom, democracy, and faith from Taiwan to mainland China. This, he says, is the righteous future in the eyes of God that will help to also bring happiness to the people of mainland China. Furthermore, Okawa encourages the international community to overcome past grievances and seek mutually constructive development, based on God's love. Part 2 reveals the national and global strategies of four key world leaders: Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin, Angela Merkel, and Donald Trump. By accessing their hidden consciousnesses, through his unrivaled spiritual ability, Okawa divulges their true thoughts and intentions, which underscores the importance of understanding and accepting the core precepts espoused by Okawa in Part 1 for sustainable peace in a modern age. Love for the Future conveys the universal spiritual Truths under which all people live; the inherent dignity within all people; God's insights and perspectives on principles for solving today's global problems, and the love that God has for every single person - beyond differences in race, nationality, or religious identity. Understand that God - who watches over politics, philosophies, and religions - offers the same answers that will ultimately lead humanity towards a future of hope. A God who yearns for us to build a world of freedom and democracy, based on faith and love, in which everyone is assured the basic human right to manifest their own divine nature to the fullest.
