Love and Dead-Endings

In 'Love and Dead Endings,' the stories comprise love and death in a variety of ways. There is obsessive love, in 'The Phantoms of St. Jacques, and a love greater than one's self-interest in 'Love of Football and Humanity,' and 'Goodbye, My Love.' Death can linger on in a plague and cause misery, as in, 'Virus of Unknown Origin,'' And death can be eternal as in 'So Many Dead,' and 'The Last House on the Dead-End Street.'
