"LORD, You're My Shepherd",: An Affirmation of Faith in God

David, a shepherd son of Jesse, who became the second king of Israel, so appreciates the work of God in his life, that he calls Him by many beautiful names and titles. Among the many names, he called the Almighty God none is as loved, popular, and reflecting of His many benevolence as Shepherd.

God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son to the world to accomplish the task of salvation, which no one else could. Born of a virgin woman, the Incarnate God became the Good Shepherd, who knows His sheep and is known by them - his body language, fragrance, voice, etc. He offered them all physical care as well as spiritual needs. He passed the baton of care for both the physical and spirit to His trusted Apostles, whose activities are recorded for our guidance in the book of Acts of the Apostles, popularly known as Acts, and amplified in the Epistles, found in the New Testament of the Holy Bible.
