A collection of poetry and short stories by Liam B Hershtale & Michael D Ballard complete with short explainations. You may wonder why I titled this book "Look I think I see a Martian." The truth is, that it was the first thing that came to mind. I was thinking of the way people viewed me, as I grew up, and I thought "Martian, definitely Martian." Not to say that I was an ugly little green guy, but instead just strange. My friend and I would deliberately go against the grain. Just to insure, that we would not be like all the other kids. The kids that we viewed as fake and insecure. We liked to be ourselves, not to fall into a "click," "gang," or "posse." We would laugh at what we wanted to laugh at and acted the way we wanted to act. Usually our actions were not what was seen as socially acceptable, so of course we were the "freaks." Which is funny because of the fact that we studied martial arts, and was actually kind of feared. So as you can imagine we never really worried about fighting or getting picked on. However I think that "Look I think I see a Martian" would run through their minds as we walked by.
