Beskrivelse
The Long Trail of Vermont runs the length of Vermont between Canada and Massachusetts, about 268 miles long. This is the story of two complete hikes of the Trail by a young five foot tall ninety pound woman; a section hike during the fall of 1977 and 1978, and an end-to-end hike in the opposite direction during the summer of 1980. Mud and rock climbs, marauding porcupines, a practical joke on a trail legend, swimming in ponds and mountaintop sunrises, -- a paean to the freedom and hardships, the joy and serendipity of hiking, with many color pictures of autumn in Vermont.
