Beskrivelse
The study of Q, which dominated biblical scholarship for almost a century, has caused in recent decades a lively discussion in reference to Christian origins. This second source of the Synoptic tradition seems to expound a radically different theological view from the mainstream kerygmatic expression of the early Church. This work thoroughly reviews the debate with regard to the existence, literary form, and extent of Q, and its relation with the Gospel of Mark; establishes procedural principles for a reliable reconstruction of Q and provides a basic critical edition in the original Greek; analyzes Q's theological characteristics; and compares Q with the Eucharist as it was understood in the early Church.
