Living Nightmare

Anneliese Mowis, a young German girl, witnesses her father's capture during World War 2. Then, shortly after her 14th birthday, she finds herself abandoned by her mother and sisters. Now, she has no money, family or direction. There is no law and no order. Anneliese sets out on her own to survive. She walks following thousands of refugees towards Berlin. On her journey, she searches for her family, get taken advantage of, finds love and loss, and eventually a new life for herself. This is her story.
