This book is about how the New Hampshire Legislature and the State Representatives and Senators who unselfishly give their time to serve the citizens of New Hampshire in the House of Representatives and the Senate. Whether they be Republican, Democrat, or Independent Legislators, this This is war, a bloodless one, but a war just the same. Out of that war, with its many heated exchanges and begrudging compromises, emerges a system of checks and balances which make the citizens of New Hampshire the ultimate winners. This they do for the paltry sum of $100 per year, and without benefit of healthcare or retirement.
