Little Wing Crows Her Way is the fourth in the series about a small Rhode Island Red chick growing up in a flock of hens and roosters on a small rural farm. Although she was born with little feathery nubs where her wings should be, LIttle Wing is a hero, a leader and a big-hearted chick. In this story, Little Wing learns that only the boys who will grow up to become roosters are supposed to crow. Little Wing believes that she and her sisters are just as capable of crowing and that it is fun, too!
The first story, Little Wing Saves The Day, is the story of her hatching and the sadness that her mother Hannah feels when she notices that Little Wing is different. But as her mother soon discovers, Little Wing is smart and strong and can save the day!
Little Wing Leads The Way tells the story of Little WIng's ingenious idea to lead the other chicks in a plan to protect a nest of eggs from a danger coming from the sky.
Little Wings Bests a Bully shows that even a small young chick can stand up to the head hen who is a persistent bully.
