Lily & Limbo

Lily and Limbo is a heartfelt story that helps children navigate the difficult and sometimes frightening process of losing a loved one by relating life's impermanence to the changing of the seasons. While mourning her grandmother, Julia rushes to her wise friend, Limbo the Tree. Limbo explains life's transient nature through the story of Lily, a flower who lived a fulfilling life in the spring before wilting in the colder months. Adorable and familiar forest animals come to mourn and celebrate Lily's life, representing the importance of friends and family during the grieving process. Limbo reminds Julia that although a loved one may be gone, their memory will always be preserved, and they will live on in our hearts. We are left with the idea that we are all flowers in the garden of life - everyone has a special purpose and unique gift to share.
