Life Through the Eyes of an Elementary School Student

Before television, computers, cell phones, and the internet, information was scarce in the Southeastern Kentucky City of Cumberland in the 1940s and 1950s, so a young child gleaned his information from movies, comic books, word of mouth, and elementary school in an effort to understand life and its meaning. He thought that the movies in particular, which he dearly loved, were the portrayals of real life itself. His understandings and misunderstandings, his adventures as Superman, Batman, and Tarzan, and his thoughts on everything from girls to politics and religion will put a smile on your face.
