Beskrivelse
There are many Prophets from the Bible and Book of Mormon that rise up as beacons to many as noble and great in their service and sacrifice to our Savior. Numbered among the great ones are Joseph & Hyrum Smith and many materials are available to document their contributions to the restoration of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This material is resurrected to retain the memory of another great leader that should be remembered and who should also be a beacon unto the world as a true servant of our Lord and Savior - even Jesus Christ. David Wyman Patten was selected by the Three called to establish the Twelve Apostles of the newly restored church. The twelve selected were then set in order by their birth dates from the oldest to the youngest. The first three were Thomas B. Marsh, David W. Patten and Brigham Young. Brother Patten was killed in the Battle of Crooked Creek before Thomas Marsh was excommunicated which passed the leadership of the twelve to Brigham Young. This work is as originally published in 1900 to include grammar and spelling that is consistent with language of that day.
