Life is Absurd

In Damian Westfall's new book "Life is Absurd", Westfall gives us the proof of life's intrinsic absurdity and the futility of people's work and dreams. But that's not all. Westfall also gives us the solution to ending the suffering that comes from living an absurd existence: loving and serving GOD and living life with mindfulness in love and peace.

Taken from King Solomon's Old Testament book "Ecclesiastes" and punctuated and adorned with several new English versions of psalms by King David, King Solomon's father, Life is Absurd not only diagnoses the absurdity of life and the suffering it causes people, but gives us an answer into the way out of that pathology and pain.

Nobody knows what's going to happen, nobody can tell the future, but it doesn't matter because only one thing is certain and that is that everybody dies: The good die, the bad die, the righteous die, the wicked die, those who believe in and serve JAH die, and those who reject JAH die, those that give to the poor die, and those who oppress the poor die, the successful will die and the unsuccessful will die. Everybody who lives on Planet Earth will all die. Death is the great equalizer.

This is so wrong, this isn't fair! It's absurd! It's nonsense!

People live their short futile lives obsessing on evil and insanity and lies and then they suddenly die and are completely forgotten as if they've never lived. Their loves and hates, their passions and dreams all died with them and will be completely forgotten. They will be absolutely and in no way of any significance or influence to and on the Planet Earth and its people.

So, knowing this I suddenly realized that there was only one who would remember us after we die and that is JAH. And he loves us.

So, knowing that life on Planet Earth is futile and absurd as you live on this spinning muck ball and love and serve JAH, enjoy yourselves!

Enjoy your food and drink, enjoy your friends and family.

I also realized this: fast runners don't always win their races and the brave and strong are sometimes defeated in battle. The wise are often poor, smart people sometimes end up broke and competent people don't always get management jobs.

In the end, everyone has bad luck because everybody dies and you never know when your time comes.

We're like birds who suddenly are caught in traps, like fish caught in a net: suddenly we die when we least expect it and that's that.
