Jim Brandt grew up in a devout Christian family with good role models. His mother's family was Presbyterian, and his father's family was Baptist. Although he attended church regularly as a youth, he wasn't as consistent as an adult. Brandt always had faith, but sometimes he let other priorities prevail. It was not until much later he began to see how crucial faith is.



In Life Enhancement with Jesus, Brandt documents the benefits of faith in God against the backdrop of his many experiences. He narrates his life story, telling about actual events that had him striving to live a Christian life. From his birth in 1950, to his upbringing, high school years, service in the Marines, professional work experiences, and family life, Brandt reflects on his choices and the life-altering events that required him to pray and trust his belief in God.
