Beskrivelse
People have always wondered what happens after this life. Almost everyone has some opinion about it. Some say nothing happens. Some say much happens. Some say we can never know until we get there. Some say we can, and the views range from a little to a lot.
The purpose of this book is to provide in relatively succinct form what Scripture-particularly the New Testament-says about it. The book thus focuses on what Scripture teaches and what faith assures. It does so by giving guidance for understanding Scriptures that have direct relevance and then suggesting learnings from the Scripture passage. Questions for thought and discussion are provided as well.
The book is intended as a guide for individual study, as a resource for group study, and perhaps as a starting point for devotionals and sermons.
This book is my thirtieth book. I've written it out of a lifetime of fairly intense study of Scripture as a doctoral-level seminary graduate specializing in the Greek New Testament; a preacher of many sermons; a Bible teacher in both church and college settings; a writer with commentaries on all the books of the New Testament; and a publisher and editor of numerous Bible studies. An additional, even more personal factor is that I'm more than eighty years old, and thus this topic is of heightened personal interest.
May you find help, encouragement, and assurance about life after this life in your interactions with these Scriptures and comments.
