In keeping with time-honoured tradition, this collection of all-original brand new Australian limericks contains some that are silly, funny, ridiculous, disrespectful, edgy, stupid, inappropriate, bawdy, political, religious, indignant, baffled, confused, satirical, witty, dumb, rude and just plain uncalled for. They are divided into 13 categories, dealing with such wide-ranging themes as surfing, blokes, women, politics and philosophy, as well as with specific Australian geographic zones. While set in a framework of fluffy and brainless disposable entertainment, it nevertheless also holds up a mirror to contemporary Australian society, and derides some of its less desirable and unsavoury characteristics.
