When you lose a child, you are in a sense thrown into captivity. Others don't know what to say or they say the wrong thing and sometimes you end up feeling like your child has been forgotten. You learn quickly that other people are often uncomfortable with grief and that it is not safe to talk about your child. For many people who have lost a child, having that child acknowledged is their greatest need. Jennifer Carson has walked that dark and lonely road called grief. This is a day-by-day personal account of her struggling through the pain of losing her son. Whether you have lost a child yourself and are looking for hope to survive the pain or if you want to better understand someone close to you who is grieving, this book allows you to see the hope that is there for us all. Jennifer Carson lives in Tyler, TX, with her husband of fifteen years, Billy Dan, and two children, Ancel and Hope. She is president of a not-for-profit organization called the Children Are A Gift Foundation which was created to celebrate the lives of all children, including those no longer with us. She spearheaded the efforts to build The Children's Park in Tyler and facilitates a support group called Glory Babies for those who are grieving the loss of a baby. She is passionate about coming alongside others who are grieving and offering them the hope that exists in Jesus Christ.
