Beskrivelse
The following poems were written by a prisoner of war on the Russian Steppes who yearned for home and his mother. But many years after he returned to his homeland, he thought of those who were left behind. He never forgot his experiences, and his story is a lesson for all times. In the final analysis, this could apply to any prisoner of war from both sides. The first poem expresses what probably every prisoner of war, from any country, in any age has felt.
