Beskrivelse
Buddhists believe that every human being possesses either the reality or the potential of the Ten Worlds: Hell, Hunger, Animality, Anger, Humanity, Rapture, Learning, Realization, Bodhisattva and Buddhahood. A human being is said to have mutual possession of one or all of these worlds; a human has a dominant World, as well. Learning is the third book in the series entitled The Ten Worlds. Like each of the Ten Worlds, Learning is not a destination: it is a journey. Follow the journey of one Anna Mae Champion, born into the world with a serious challenge: she is incapable of emotion. She can't feel guilt or remorse. And she wants, does Anna Mae Champion. She wants ceaselessly and obsessively. She also possesses a great intellect, a potential to store and use what she learns. In Learning, Anna tries to find a way to exist in a world she cannot relate to...a world that presents her with challenges to her intelligence, her resilience...her very life.
