Leaps

"Leaps" refers to a therapeutic dilemma in which some special and unique measures are called for if it is going to be at all possible to further intrapsychic growth and give impetus to therapeutic progress. It is easy to be led astray in the field of intense infantile emotions with which therapists work. If they are to find new ways to enlarge the frontier of therapeutic influence, they must be prepared to face risks, not blindly and impulsively, but with knowledge, stability, integrity and compassion.
